Conducting spot trading on the BitTap platform involves the basic process of buying or selling cryptocurrency. Here are the detailed steps to perform spot trading on BitTap:
Log In to Your BitTap Account
First, log in to BitTap using your account credentials. If you don’t have an account yet, you will need to register and complete identity verification (KYC).
Deposit Funds
Before engaging in spot trading, ensure that you have sufficient funds in your account. You can deposit cryptocurrency:
- Cryptocurrency Deposit: Transfer cryptocurrency from other wallets or exchanges into your BitTap wallet.
Access the Spot Trading Page
After logging in, click on the "Spot Trading" option in the navigation bar. This will take you to BitTap's spot trading market, where you can view the prices, charts, and order book for various cryptocurrency pairs.
Select a Trading Pair
On the spot trading page, select the cryptocurrency pair you wish to trade (e.g., BTC/USDT or ETH/USDT). Once selected, the page will display relevant price charts, market depth, and trading history.
Choose an Order Type
BitTap supports various order types, allowing you to choose the most suitable trading method based on your needs:
- Limit Order: Set a specific price, and the order will only execute when the market reaches your price. Suitable for users who don’t need an immediate trade.
- Market Order: Executes immediately at the current market price, ideal for users who want to complete the trade quickly.
- Stop Order: Set a trigger price at which a buy or sell order will automatically execute when the market reaches that level.
Enter the Trade Amount
Based on your selected order type, enter the amount you wish to buy or sell:
- Buy: If you wish to buy cryptocurrency, input the quantity and price (for limit orders) or the total amount (for market orders).
Sell: If you wish to sell cryptocurrency, input the quantity and price.
Confirm the Order
Review the entered trade amount and price. Once confirmed, click the “Buy” or “Sell” button.
Check Order Status
After placing an order, you can check its status on the “Orders” page. Limit orders may not execute immediately, whereas market orders generally execute right away. If an order has not executed, you have the option to cancel it.
Complete the Trade
Once the order is fulfilled, you can view your cryptocurrency balance on the Funds page.
