When you make a deposit or withdrawal on BitTap, you can check the real-time status of your transaction using a blockchain explorer. A blockchain explorer is a public tool that allows you to track transaction progress, confirmation counts, and other details on a specific blockchain network. Below are the steps and instructions on how to check your blockchain transaction status.
What is a Blockchain Transaction Status?
A blockchain transaction status refers to the processing state of your cryptocurrency transfer on the blockchain network. Every transaction remains in a "Pending" state until it receives sufficient confirmations from the network. As the number of confirmations increases, the transaction will be progressively processed and ultimately completed.
Step 1: Find Your Transaction ID (TxID)
Before checking the transaction status, you need to find the Transaction ID (TxID) associated with your transfer. The TxID is a unique string of characters that identifies your transaction. If you don’t know how to find it, follow these steps:
-
On BitTap Platform:
- Log into BitTap, go to the [Assets] or [Wallet History] page.
- Find the relevant deposit or withdrawal transaction.
- Locate the TxID in the transaction details.
-
From an External Wallet or Exchange:
- Log into your wallet or exchange account.
- Go to Transaction History and find the transfer related to BitTap.
- The TxID will be displayed in the transaction details.
Step 2: Select a Blockchain Explorer
Each blockchain network has its own blockchain explorer. Choose the appropriate one based on the network you used for the transaction:
| Blockchain Network | Blockchain Explorer |
|---|---|
| ERC-20 (Ethereum Network) | Etherscan |
| TRC-20 (Tron Network) | Tronscan |
| BEP-20 (Binance Smart Chain) | BscScan |
| BTC (Bitcoin Network) | Blockchain.com |
Step 3: Enter the Transaction ID (TxID)
- Open the blockchain explorer that corresponds to your transaction network.
- Enter your TxID into the search bar and click Search.
Step 4: Check the Transaction Status
After searching, the blockchain explorer will display detailed transaction information, including:
-
Confirmation Count:
- This indicates how many times the blockchain has confirmed the transaction.
- BitTap requires at least 6 confirmations for a transaction to be fully completed.
- Some transactions may require more confirmations depending on the blockchain.
-
Sender and Receiver Addresses:
- Displays the wallet addresses of the sender and receiver.
-
Transfer Amount:
- Shows the amount of cryptocurrency transferred in this transaction.
-
Transaction Fee:
- Displays the network fee paid for the transaction.
-
Transaction Status:
- Pending: The transaction is waiting to be confirmed by the blockchain.
- Failed: The transfer was not successful.
- Dropped & Replaced: The transaction was replaced by another with a higher network fee.
- Success: The transaction has received the required number of confirmations, and the funds have arrived.
Step 5: Troubleshooting Common Issues
(1) Transaction Not Confirmed
- Cause: The blockchain network may be congested, causing a delay in transaction processing.
-
Solution:
- Be patient and wait for the network to process the transaction.
- Once the network stabilizes, the transaction should receive confirmations.
(2) Transaction Delayed Due to Low Fees
- Cause: If you paid a low transaction fee, your transaction may be prioritized lower in the network queue.
-
Solution:
- Some wallets and platforms allow users to increase the transaction fee to speed up processing.
- Check with your wallet or exchange for instructions on how to boost the transaction fee.
(3) Insufficient Confirmations
-
Cause: Different platforms have different confirmation requirements before a transaction is considered complete.
- BitTap typically requires 6 confirmations for deposits and withdrawals.
-
Solution:
- Continue waiting for more confirmations until the required number is reached.
