If you detect any security risks or suspicious activities in your account, you can apply to disable your account to prevent personal information leaks and asset theft. Once an account deactivation request is submitted, the only way to restore access is through BitTap’s customer support. If you deactivate your account by mistake, you will need to wait at least 2 hours before reactivation, and your identity will be re-verified by customer support.
Steps to Apply for Account Deactivation
-
Log into Your BitTap Account
Use your email or phone number along with your password to log in to the BitTap official website or mobile app. -
Navigate to Account Settings
After logging in, click on your profile icon or account settings in the top-right corner. Select "Account Settings" or "Security Settings." -
Contact Customer Support to Request Account Deactivation
BitTap does not support self-service account deactivation for security reasons. You need to contact BitTap’s customer support to request deactivation. Go to the "Help Center" or "Contact Support" section within the BitTap app or website. Submit your request via live chat, email, or a support ticket explaining that you wish to deactivate your account. -
Provide Identity Verification
To ensure security, the customer support team will ask for identity verification details, such as:
- Your registered email or phone number
- Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) details (if enabled)
After verifying your information, BitTap’s team will process your request.
- Wait for Confirmation
Once your request is approved, you will receive a confirmation email or SMS from BitTap notifying you that your account has been disabled.
What Happens After Account Deactivation?
- You will no longer be able to log in or use any services on BitTap.
- If you wish to reactivate your account, you must contact customer support to request manual reactivation.
Important Notes:
If your account or assets are under dispute, BitTap may keep your account disabled until the dispute is resolved.
Account deactivation is initiated by the user—never lend, rent, or sell your account to others to protect your funds.
If you are not planning to use your account for a long time but do not want to deactivate it completely, enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to keep it secure.
